Join leading international experts in nuclear fuel reprocessing at Idaho National Laboratory for the 1st Annual Reprocessing Workshop. This event will feature lectures on a wide range of reprocessing methods, including various aqueous techniques and pyroprocessing. Building on INL’s historic expertise in spent nuclear fuel reprocessing – such as its work with EBR-II reactor fuel – the workshop will explore advanced topics such as gamma-ray spectrometry, calorimetry, molten salt reactor fuel, and system modeling. Participants will also engage in hands-on activities, culminating in a final exercise that provides direct interaction with advanced aqueous reprocessing systems. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of cutting-edge reprocessing technologies in a collaborative and practical learning environment.
Where/When: Idaho National Laboratory, July 20-23, 2026.
Audience
- Graduate & Advanced Undergraduate NA-22 Consortium Students. Interested non-consortium students may also apply.
- This workshop is only open to U.S. citizens.
